


Retail Solutions 2007, the technology exhibition for the UK's Retail sector, has been heralded a huge success by both exhibitors and attendees. The show welcomed more than 200 exhibitors, as well as some of the industries high profile retailers who came to share their experiences of how technology has helped to grow there business, and add financial value.
Once again exhibitors showcased a wide range of evolving technologies. Here's a run down of some of the best.
K3 demonstrated its new Microsoft SQL server based Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Offered as a number of easy-to-use modules, customers can build there own BI package.
Triangle (now Retail Manager Solutions Ltd.) Launched Labour Manager, an addition to Retail Manager, its store communications and control suite. The new solution enables more effective staff scheduling.
NCR introduced its RetailPOS 8OXRT point-of-sale workstation offering improved multi-tasking without slowing down transaction processing. NCR also revealed the EasyPoint Advantage, a compact self-service kiosk solution.
Torex, a Platinum sponsor at this years exhibition, demonstrated its Retail-J solution fully integrated with the entire company portfolio and also unveiled Galaxy II, a new business intelligence solution.
VCS Timeless showcased the latest modules of its supply chain optimization solution Colombus.next, which was developed on Microsoft's latest technologies. It combines purchasing, sales and logistics best practices into a single software application.
The Logic Group demonstrated its recently launched Chip and PIN at a low cost and with a reduced implementation timescales.
TXT unveiled new business intelligence and reporting modules, TXT Drive Analytics. It will be integrated with an existing range of demand forecasting and replenishment software.
